Policies & Terms of Sale
Last updated: 31 October 2026
These policies apply to purchases, commissions, website use and subscriptions through Jordan Vick.
1. TERMS & CONDITIONS
This website is operated by Jordan Vick, an independent art sole trader based in South Australia, Australia.
Throughout these terms, references to “we”, “us”, “our” and “the artist” refer to Jordan Vick Art. References to “you” and “your” refer to customers and visitors to this website.
By accessing this website or purchasing artwork, you agree to these terms.
Artwork & Product Descriptions
All original artworks are individually created by the artist.
Every effort is made to represent artwork accurately through product descriptions, photographs, dimensions and colours. However:
-
Colours may vary slightly between digital screens and the physical artwork.
-
Each original painting is unique and may contain natural variations in texture, brushwork and finish.
-
Product photographs are intended as a visual representation and may differ slightly from the physical artwork.
-
Dimensions are provided as accurately as possible.
Frames, styling accessories and other objects shown in photographs are not included unless expressly stated in the product description.
Pricing & Payment
All prices are displayed in Australian dollars (AUD) unless otherwise stated.
Prices may change without notice. The price applicable to your purchase will be the price displayed at the time your order is placed.
Payment must be received in full before artwork is dispatched, unless an alternative payment arrangement has been agreed in writing.
Orders are subject to payment confirmation and availability.
Original Artwork
Original paintings are one-of-a-kind works.
Purchasing an original artwork transfers ownership of the physical artwork only. It does not automatically transfer copyright or reproduction rights, subject to any applicable law or separate written agreement.
Limited-Edition Prints
Limited-edition prints are produced in accordance with the edition details advertised at the time of release.
Where a print is advertised as being available for a limited purchasing window, orders will only be accepted during the stated period.
Once the purchasing window closes, that particular print release will not be reproduced in the same capacity.
Edition sizes, print specifications and any numbering or signing arrangements will be disclosed in the relevant product description.
Website Availability
We endeavour to keep website information accurate and up to date. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted website availability or that the website will always be free from technical errors.
We reserve the right to update, modify or discontinue website content, products and services.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
2. SHIPPING & DELIVERY POLICY
Jordan Vick currently offers shipping within Australia. If you are an international purchaser, please contact Jordan directly to organise the logistics of this.
Processing & Dispatch
Each artwork is carefully prepared and packaged before dispatch.
Processing and dispatch timeframes may vary depending on the artwork, its size, framing requirements and whether the item is an original painting or a print.
Estimated processing and dispatch timeframes will be provided at the time of purchase or communicated directly to the customer.
Please allow additional time during busy periods, exhibitions, collection releases and holiday periods.
Shipping Costs
Shipping costs will be calculated or communicated before payment is finalised.
International shipping costs may vary depending on the destination, parcel dimensions and delivery service.
Any applicable shipping charges will be communicated before an order is confirmed.
International Orders
International customers are responsible for any applicable customs duties, import taxes, tariffs or other charges imposed by their destination country, unless expressly stated otherwise.
These charges are not included in the artwork purchase price or shipping fee unless specifically advised.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that the importation of purchased artwork is permitted within their country.
International delivery timeframes are estimates only and may be affected by customs processing and circumstances outside our control.
Delivery & Tracking
Where available, tracking information will be provided once an order has been dispatched.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information at checkout.
If an incorrect address is supplied, please contact us as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed once an order has been dispatched.
We are not responsible for delays caused by courier services, customs authorities or other circumstances outside our reasonable control. This does not remove any applicable consumer rights.
Artwork Arriving Damaged
All artwork is packaged with care to minimise the risk of damage during transit.
If your artwork arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible, ideally within 48 hours of delivery.
Please provide:
-
Your order number.
-
Clear photographs of the packaging.
-
Photographs showing the damage to the artwork.
-
A description of the damage.
Please retain all original packaging until the matter has been assessed.
We will work with you to assess the issue and determine an appropriate resolution in accordance with Australian Consumer Law and any applicable consumer protections.
3. RETURNS, REFUNDS & EXCHANGES POLICY
Change-of-Mind Returns
Due to the individual and limited nature of the artwork offered by Jordan Vick, we do not accept returns, refunds or exchanges for change of mind.
This includes situations where a customer:
-
Changes their mind after purchasing.
-
Decides the artwork no longer suits their space.
-
Changes their preference regarding colour, style or subject matter.
-
Orders an incorrect size or product.
Please carefully review all product descriptions, dimensions and photographs before completing your purchase.
Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items
Our change-of-mind policy does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
If an artwork is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or otherwise fails to meet applicable consumer guarantees, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund or other remedy depending on the circumstances.
We will assess reported issues in accordance with our legal obligations.

4. ARTWORK HANDLING, CARE & INSTALLATION
Handling & Installation
All original artworks are carefully prepared and packaged prior to dispatch.
Once artwork has been safely delivered into the customer’s possession, responsibility for its handling, storage, installation, hanging and ongoing care rests with the customer.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that appropriate hanging hardware, fixings and installation methods are used, taking into account the artwork’s weight, dimensions and the suitability of the wall or mounting surface.
We recommend seeking professional assistance for the installation, ensuring that all hanging fixtures are appropriate and securely fitted.
Jordan Vick accepts no responsibility for damage, deterioration, injury or loss arising from improper handling, storage, installation or hanging of artwork after delivery, to the extent permitted by law.
This clause does not limit any rights or remedies available to customers under the Australian Consumer Law.
Artwork Care
Original paintings should be handled with care and kept away from excessive moisture, direct sunlight, extreme temperatures and environments that may cause deterioration.
Avoid touching painted surfaces unnecessarily, particularly textured or delicate areas.
Use a soft, dry cloth to gently remove dust from appropriate surfaces. Do not apply cleaning products, solvents or chemicals directly to artwork.
Where framing or specialist care is required, we recommend consulting a professional framer or art conservator.
5. COMMISSION TERMS & CONDITIONS
Commissioned artwork is created individually in collaboration with the customer.
The following terms are intended to ensure a clear and enjoyable process for both the artist and the client.
Enquiries & Booking
Commission enquiries are subject to availability and acceptance by the artist.
Before a commission is confirmed, the artist and client will discuss:
-
Artwork subject and concept.
-
Reference photographs and inspiration.
-
Canvas dimensions and orientation.
-
Medium and general artistic direction.
-
Pricing and payment arrangements.
-
Estimated completion timeframe.
-
Delivery or collection arrangements.
A commission is only confirmed once the agreed terms have been accepted in writing and the required deposit has been received.
Deposits & Payment
A deposit may be required to secure a commission booking and allow materials to be purchased.
The deposit amount, payment schedule and final balance will be communicated and agreed upon before work commences.
Unless otherwise agreed, the final balance must be paid in full before the artwork is released or dispatched.
The Creative Process & Approvals
The artist will work towards the agreed concept and artistic direction.
Reference photographs and inspiration images are used as guidance rather than a guarantee of an exact reproduction.
As each painting is individually created by hand, minor variations in colour, composition, texture and interpretation are part of the creative process.
The client will be provided with progress updates at appropriate stages.
Any revisions, alterations or additional work outside the original agreed scope may incur additional fees.
Significant changes requested after the painting has progressed may not be possible without additional time and expense.
Timeframes
Estimated completion dates will be discussed before a commission is confirmed.
Timeframes are indicative and may be affected by the complexity of the artwork, material availability, other commitments or unforeseen circumstances.
The artist will communicate any significant changes to the expected timeframe.
Cancellations
If a client wishes to cancel a commission, they must contact the artist in writing.
Where work has commenced, the artist may retain or charge an amount that reasonably reflects work completed, materials purchased, costs incurred and any other amounts lawfully payable under the agreed arrangement.
Any remaining refundable amount will be assessed in accordance with the written agreement and applicable law.
If the artist is unable to complete a commission, the client will be contacted and an appropriate resolution arranged.
Approval & Collection
Once the artwork is complete, the client will be provided with photographs for final review where appropriate.
Any agreed final payment must be received before collection or dispatch.
Collection and delivery arrangements will be agreed between the artist and client.
Copyright & Commissioned Artwork
Unless otherwise agreed in a separate written agreement, the client purchases the physical artwork and does not automatically receive unrestricted reproduction or commercial usage rights.
Copyright ownership and licensing arrangements for commissioned works will be expressly agreed in writing before the commission commences.
Where the law provides a different default ownership arrangement, the parties’ written agreement will be considered subject to applicable law.
The client may not reproduce, distribute, commercially exploit or create derivative reproductions of the artwork beyond any expressly agreed permissions.
6. COPYRIGHT & INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY POLICY
All artwork, paintings, photographs, product imagery, written content, branding and other creative material displayed on this website are protected by applicable intellectual property and copyright laws.
Unless otherwise stated, the creative works displayed on this website are the intellectual property of Jordan Vick.
Purchasing an original painting or print does not automatically transfer copyright or grant permission to reproduce the artwork.
Without prior written permission, you must not:
-
Reproduce, copy or scan artwork.
-
Create prints or reproductions of purchased artwork.
-
Use artwork for commercial purposes.
-
Upload or distribute artwork for unauthorised reproduction.
-
Modify, reproduce or sell artwork or imagery belonging to the artist.
-
Use artwork or website imagery for merchandise or other products.
Limited-edition print purchases grant ownership of the physical print only, not the underlying copyright.
The artist reserves the right to photograph, display and promote original works and completed commissions for portfolio, exhibition, website and social media purposes, subject to any separate confidentiality or usage agreement.
Nothing in this policy overrides any rights that cannot legally be excluded or transferred.
